Not only is today #WorldOutlanderDay, but Starz has renewed “Outlander” for both Seasons 3 AND 4!
Season 3 will be based on Voyager, and Season 4 Drums of Autumn.
“Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said of the renewal:
…On this 25th anniversary of the publication of the first book in the U.S., we are thrilled and honored to be able to continue the story that began with author Diana Gabaldon, and is brought to life by the incredibly talented Ronald D. Moore. There are no better storytellers for ‘Outlander’ than this team, both in front and behind the camera.” ~ Variety.com
Happy World Outlander Day indeed!

I love this program, I’ve been watching it ever since it started. Jamie, what a babe, a beautiful gingerbear!

Wonderful news! Certainly Ron Moore has done one of the best jobs ever of staying true to Diana’s writing. One of the things I think gets missed if one doesn’t read or listen to the books is her amazing sense of humor, sometimes very dry and understated, which is very prevalent in the narrative of the book but gets somewhat under-exposed in the medium of TV. I hope they allow at least 18 episodes per season, I am still not sure how they will do Season 2 full justice in only 13 episodes; I just re-listened to Dragonfly in Amber and it’s so huge in scope, I hope they haven’t missed too much out. 39 hours of audiobook divided by 13, is quite a condensing of it. And Voyager is nearly 44 hours and again, massive in scope.

I know. I feel sorry for the non-book readers who don’t know the stinging-nettle scene, or the actual initial interaction between Jamie & Simon jr…

Now that Season 4 is on the schedule you will need a grown-up Willie! I’ve been tracking Trevor Donovan and he reminds me so much of Sam that i think he would be a great choice. He will appear this Saturday Oct 28 in “Marry Me At Christmas” on Hallmark Channel so it’s a good time to see him in action. If not, just google that name and you’ll see what I mean.
